The Forum Secretariat has a leading role of Vanuatu to the regional and international level in issues such as climate change and decolonization. These were the words of the delegation of the Secretariat who visited the Honorable Prime Minister Charlot Salwai Tabimasmas.

    The Forum Secretariat delegation is currently in the country for consultation. The consultation will be between each member countries before the leaders meeting this year.

    Ministry of the Prime Minister Director General, Cherol Ala was part of the launching of the Women in Leadership program on March 29th 2023
     

     

    This was a new Vanuatu initiative developed by the Ministry of Health, the PSC, and the Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration and Management (VIPAM) with support from the Vanuatu - Australia Health Partnership.

    The US National Security council’s Indo Pacific Coordinator, Kurt Campbell and delegation met up with Prime Minister Hon. Alatoi Ishmael Kalsakau Maau’Koro on Wednesday 22nd March 2022, along with Foreign Affairs minister Jotham Napat for Bilateral talks.

    The United States has indicate that they will be opening its embassy here in Port Vila, Re-Introduce the peace corps program and revive the cooperation with US Coast Guard to assist in protecting our waters and protect our marine resources from illegal fishing activities. The US will also involve more in climate change to build more ware house of relief supplies for immediate response.

    An extra amount of $3 Million has been announced by US to go towards shelter, water and food security.
