    Today Friday 9th June, Interchange Limited handed over its dividend to the Government of Vanuatu a total sum of 118 million vatu.
    The Director General of the Prime Minister's Office, Cherol Ala Ianna and Director of the Department of Strategic Planning, Policy and Aid Coordination (DSPPAC) John Ezra were present to receive the dividend.
     
    The Director General expressed the Vanuatu Government's gratitude to Interchange Limited management through the leadership of the General Manager who was present.
    A company like ICL is important to Vanuatu in terms of communication and internet connectivity, the infrastructures that enables each one of us to connect to the outside world.
     
    Director General also thanked the management and board of ICL who have agreed for such amount of interim dividend that has been given to the Government of Vanuatu for its development priorities in all the sectors and especially the ICT space.

     An official opening ceremony of the Pacific Fusion Center took place on Tuesday 6th June above the Air Vanuatu building down town by the Honorable Prime Minister of Vanuatu and Australian's Deputy Prime Minister.

    During this occasion, the Prime Minister, Honorable Alatoi Ishmael Kalsakau Maau'Koro during his speech detailed the kind of Security Agreement that was signed between Australia and Vanuatu on December last year.

    The Prime Minister stated that this type of agreement only formalizes the assistance that Australia has already been providing Vanuatu like the Maritime Zone survelliance in Vanuatu, Transnational crime,  Cyber security, Humanitarian assistance, aviation security and etc.

    This is not a Military type agreement that will undermine the sovereignty of this Nation Vanuatu.

    The Australian Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Minister for Defence, Richard Marles handed over a police boat named Emma Kate to Government of Vanuatu. This event took place at the Main wharf on Tuesday 6th June 2023. Vanuatu's Prime Minister, Honorable Alatoi Ishmael Kalsakau Maau'Koro was present in the event, along side Deputy Prime Minister Honorable Jotham Napat, Hon. Mako Mahe Minister of Internal affairs and the members of the diplomatic core, VIPs, guests and stakeholders.

    The agreement was signed between Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Vanuatu's Prime Minister at the front of the Vessel which brought over the Police patrol boat. This handing over signifies and strengthens the relationship between Australia and Vanuatu in terms of maintaining security and stability in the Pacific region.
